• Coaching Experience
Sheri began her vast coaching background upon leaving her career with the National Team in 1992. She traveled nation wide putting on Coaches Clinics, Player Camps and made several appearances as a gest spearker on setting and defence. After settling back down in her college home town of Long Beach, Sheri began her own club program called In Motion VBC. She then had the pleasure to coach players like Jennifer Stroffe (CDM/Mich State/UCSB), Misty May (Newport Harbor/CSULB) and Tracy Heflin (Agura Hills/ASU) to name a few. After 7 years of developing teams and players ranked in the top 3 Nationally and putting A few Championship wins under her belt at the Vegas Tournament and Davis Festival, Sheri handed the program over to Joy Mckienzie (now the powerhouse program Mizuno Long Beach). Sheri also coached the Cerritos HS girls team for three years winning two league titles and one divisional title. She moved up ranks as Assistant to Albert Gasparian at Golden West College where she learned a great deal about collegiate level ball. Some time later she went on to work with Paula Weisoff (a player who inspired Sheri during her years at CSULB when Paula would come in and practice with the team). She helped bring the girls team to a league championship that year. Sheri has since coached for Saddleback Valley VBC, Ripcurls VBC(girls)/Riptides VBC(boys), Golden West VBC(girls), and Ohana Athletic Club (boys). Maintaining her teams competition at the Division I/II levels throughout her club career. For the past 8 years she has dedicated herself to privately training boys and girls of all ages from all programs in the surrounding OC and LA area.
Now Sheri is embarking on a new "Dream" (and they do come tru) to create the largest Specialized Volleyball Training Academy in Southern California.
